Artistic Statement
It’s my mission to expand cultural understanding of what it means to exist in a queer space by writing, director, and adapting stories from the perspectives of queer people living in rural communities located in the American Southwest. I hope to portray the joys, sorrows, and complex lives of queer people living in alternative communities.

Assless Chaps: A Queer Western - October 2nd, 3rd, and 4th at The University of New Mexico
Sitting around a campfire, a group of ranch hands tell the story of Hody, a genderless cowpoke who tried to stop capitalism one general store at a time. Taking no money and helping whoever they can, Hody made clothing for the poorest townsfolk. This upsets Clark, the local general store owner, who begins to lose business because of Hody’s good deeds. After coercing a starving farmer named Henry to figure out the ins and outs of their operation, Clark vows to stop Hody through any means necessary, maybe even murder.
